Sanski Most Nov 1996

A town and municipality in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sanski Most was run by Serb militias during most of the war till it was liberated by the Army of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1995. 3 years of Serb rule had left Sanski Most ethnically cleansed from Croats and Muslims and the surrounding country side was full of mass graves. Slowly people were returning from around the world, Sead - a Muslim and his daughter had only recently come back from Denmark. Most Serbs had by now moved the 25 km across the border and into Republica Srpska in fear of reprisals.
